Mamelodi Vintage
Due to forced removals, Mamelodi came to exist. First known as Vlaka, taken from Vlakfontein, the name Mamelodi changed in 1962 at the behest of the first Mayor, Mr H.M Pitje. The trajectory by the National Party Government was to remove all black sports for creation of the White Suburbs.
